BACKGROUND SCREENING NOTICE FOR ALL YOUTH SPORT VOLUNTEERS:
There is a state-wide mandate for all youth sport volunteers to submit and pass
a Level II Background Investigation (BGI) Screening (w/Fingerprints).
This is being implemented starting in January 2025.
SEE THE DIRECTOR OF THE SPORT THAT YOU INTEND TO VOL/COACH, FOR SPECIFIC DIRECTIONS
You must complete and pass a BGI prior to being permitted to:
coach or conduct interactive volunteering with youth.
Please contact your sport's commissioner or director for specific opportunities
to take advantage of any group sessions offered for BGI submissions.

You have the option to apply for BGI's individually (at a cost of $55) at the UPS Store on Barrancas Ave. (in the Greers Grocery Outlet/Tax Collector strip mall). You must have completed/passed your background check prior to your season start date in order to be permitted to coach youth sports in FL (any appeals for flagged/failed BGI's must be submitted to Parks/Rec through PBYSA Board of Dir. for the review process).
